reminds me of dirty computer in that it’s better than what i think it is whenever i return to listen to it, although i rarely do so. maybe the latter says something about the album that i can’t explain :femmefatale:

As a whole, it doesn’t quite live up to the sky-high expectations set by Emotion and the whispers of a “disco-influenced” follow-up, but a handful of tracks do match her previous career bests while the lows are merely passable

It has some really good tracks, but it really pales in comparison to a) her previous era and b) what we expected from this album (nu-disco).

controversial opinion but this lacks any real impact for me to be satisfied after listening. it's a decent sound i guess, but never reaches any height.

a good and sporadically great girl somewhere in the 3.5 range but I’m rounding up :glam:
